Medley Pharma is a global pharmaceutical company that has been in operation since 1969 in Mumbai, India. In 1976, the company set up a formulation plant in Aurangabad followed by Jammu and Daman. It has specialties in the fields of Hematinics, Anti Ulcerants, Antibacterials, Pain management, Gynecology & cardiovascular drugs.

The company employs over 3,000 employees and is among the top 40 pharmaceutical companies in India according to ORG IMS and IQVIA. The company also specializes in Iron preparations and manages the famous brand R. B. Tone syrup alongside other first-time brands like Dompan, O2, Tazocef & Ostium k2.
In the article by TOI, drug majors like Cipla, Dr. Reddy's, JB Chemicals, and several PE giants like BlackRock, Carlyle & Advent are potential buyers for the business of the mid-sized research-based pharmaceutical company. The deal size of the transaction is estimated to be in the range of Rs 4000-5000 crores.
According to a recent report from credit rating agency Crisil, the company’s revenue is estimated to have grown 16% YoY to Rs 926 crore for FY22, from Rs 800 crore in the previous year, supported by growth in the acute segment and balance from the chronic therapies. The company had an operating margin of 21% during the period. It is expected to maintain growth of 8-10% over the medium term.
