Infosys is the second-largest Indian IT company that provides business consulting and outsources its services. Moreover, it’s the 602 largest company globally, according to Forbes 2000 rankings.

At Moneycontrol Startup Conclave 2023, Narayana Murthy talked with Rohan Murty and revealed the quality he makes the base for hiring while explaining why they are needed.

While answering the question about how the Infosys founder recruited his first five to seven colleagues, he said the first thing is a competency that is required to make a profit. Following this he also mentioned about value system saying that, “ because everybody has to trust implicitly everybody else, nobody should say when I’m sleeping the other fellow is touching the till in the till,” and the third is that the hire should be truthful. An employee has only their words and no guarantee, so one should be trustworthy.

He even enjoyed the company of those who showed more enthusiasm than him. For doing that he cannot say that he will keep the major % and that’s his personality.
