The all-new Honda Amaze has been officially launched in India, bringing exciting updates to the popular sub-4m sedan. Available in three variants – V, VX, and ZX – the new Amaze is now open for bookings, with customer deliveries set to begin in January 2025. If you're looking to get your hands on the updated Amaze, here's everything you need to know.
Variant-Wise Powertrain Options
The new Honda Amaze is powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine across all three variants. This engine delivers 90 PS of power and 110 Nm of torque, ensuring a lively and efficient driving experience. Honda offers two transmission options for the Amaze – a 5-speed manual (MT) and a 7-step Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), available in all variants. The fuel efficiency is impressive, with the MT variant delivering a claimed 18.65 kmpl and the CVT variant offering 19.46 kmpl.
Interior and Features
Inside, the Honda Amaze boasts a refined black and beige cabin theme, complemented by a patterned trim insert on the dashboard. The interior is further enhanced with a brushed-silver strip running across the dashboard and silver accents on the three-spoke steering wheel, which is borrowed from the Honda City. Leatherette upholstery is now standard for all seats, and adjustable headrests are also included for added comfort.
In terms of features, the new Amaze comes equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The 7-inch semi-digital driver display adds a modern touch to the cabin, while other features include a wireless phone charger, auto AC with rear vents, and a push-button start/stop system.
Safety Features
Honda has prioritized safety in the new Amaze, with six airbags as standard across all variants. It also comes with Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). A notable addition is the LaneWatch camera, located on the underside of the left wing mirror, which provides a clear view of the left side of the vehicle. Additionally, the Amaze is equipped with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), including lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and forward collision warning. ISOFIX child seat mounts are also included for added family safety.
Rivals in the Segment
The new Honda Amaze will compete with popular models in the segment, such as the Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Aura, and Tata Tigor. With its stylish design, feature-rich interior, and safety enhancements, the Amaze is set to be a strong contender in the sub-4m sedan category.
