Reportedly, After a diplomatic row on the accusation of Ottawa and a possible Indian Government’s involvement in the killing of Hardeep Singh Niijar, India has finally resumed issuing e-visas to Canadian Nationals.
On Wednesday, While addressing a press conference on Virtual G20 Leader’s Summit, Minister of External Affairs, S. Jaishankar said, “Regarding the E visa, you know, first of all, it had nothing to do with the G20 meeting."
“What had happened was we had temporarily suspended visa issuance because the situation in Canada made it difficult for our diplomats to do the, you know, frankly to go to the office and do the necessary work for processing visas,"

Earlier in September, Visa services from Indian Mission temporarily halted their operations as per BLS International, which is an Indian outsourcing service provider.

The statement said,
“Important notice from Indian Mission: Due to operational reasons, with effect from September 21, 2023, Indian visa services have been suspended till further notice. Please keep checking the BLS website for further updates,"
Visa commenced these 4 categories of visas- entry visa, business visa, medical visa, and conference visa, these services were redeemed on October 26th.
Following the announcement, Canada applauded India's decision to partially resume visa services, calling it a "positive sign" and stating that the suspension "should never have happened in the first place."
Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a designated terrorist in India, was assassinated on June 18 outside a Gurdwara in a parking lot in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.
