N. Chandrasekharan, the chairman of Tata Sons in a Linkedin post states the following about this new initiative from the Tata Group, “Tata Neu is an exciting platform that gathers all our brands into one powerful app. Combining our traditional consumer-first approach with the modern ethos of technology, it is an all-new way to discover the wonderful world of Tata.”
With Tata Neu, the Group aims to bring all its brands and services under one digital umbrella.
So now, whether you want to order medicines through 1mg, or book flights from Air Asia, you can access all of Tata brands' services through a single app interface!
It's important to note that the timing of this announcement and the launch of 'Tata Neu' was well planned. The App went live during the IPL match between Lucknow Super Giants, and Delhi Capitals!
In fact, the App has been innovatively marketed by the headline, (referring to the IPL match), “The NEU innings start at Match time”!

In any case, from a consumer point of view, this is an extraordinary move from the company as it truly simplifies the purchasing experience for Tata brand users.
It's worth mentioning, that soon users of the app would be able to access services and products of brands such as Air Asia, BigBasket, Croma, IHCL, Qmin, Starbucks, Tata 1Mg, Tata AIG, Tata Capital, Tata CLiQ, Tata Play, Westside and more.
It means you could access Medicine, Hotels, flights, Grocery shopping, and much more all in one place.
Furthermore, to attract a wider user base to the Neuly launched Tata Neu, (Yes! Pun intended) the super app will be offering rewards to consumers shopping through the app.
According to current sources, the rewards might come in the form of Neucoins which users will get with each purchase and which can be redeemed at later purchases.
Each Neucoin will be worth ₹1 and the reward system gives users the ability to shop anywhere and earn redeem coins anywhere too!
It should be noted though that such reward-based redeem coins are also a part of various payment apps like Paytm, which they use to keep users on board!
Certainly, it would be interesting to note how much impact could the 'Tata Neu' deliver on Tata Groups' customer acquisition and retention.
