A tragic bus accident on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway kills four and injures several others. Authorities investigate the cause of the crash.

A tragic accident occurred on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway early Saturday morning when a bus traveling from Lucknow to Agra collided with a truck while overtaking. The incident took place around 5:40 AM near the 27 km mark in the Fatehabad area of Agra.

The bus, with registration number RJ18PB5811, lost control while overtaking the truck, which had the registration number RJ11GD0561. The collision caused severe damage to the left side of the bus. Unfortunately, four passengers died on the spot. The deceased have been identified as:

  • Govind Lal, 68, from Jodhpur, Rajasthan
  • Ramesh, 45, also from Jodhpur, Rajasthan
  • Deepak Verma, 40, from Agra
  • Bablu, 40, from Mirzapur

The bodies were taken to the S N Mortuary in Agra for post-mortem.

Several other passengers were injured in the accident. They were immediately taken to Sandhya Hospital in Fatehabad for medical treatment. Among the injured are:

  • Falguni (26) and Deu Parmar (53) from Mumbai
  • Sonia Sharma (34) and Neelu Sharma (40) from Mumbai
  • Apurv Gupta (27) from Gurgaon
  • Garvita Sharma (25) from Agra
  • Rambhajan (33) from Achnera
  • Riyaz Ahmad (44) from Bhadohi
  • Manisha (38) from Rajkot
  • Shilpa (37) and Tulsi (46) from Bhavnagar
  • Ajay Chauhan from Bidhuna
  • Komal (23) and Devdas (32) from Mumbai
  • Heera Devi from Mathura
  • Chirag (23) from Rajkot

The injured are receiving treatment in local hospitals. The damaged vehicles have been moved to Toll No. 21, and traffic is now running smoothly.

The police have initiated further legal proceedings. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident, and efforts are being made to support the victims and their families during this difficult time.
