Kangana Ranaut recently shared a post on Instagram to appreciate Prime Minister Narendra Modi for wearing a Himachali topi during his visit to France. The topi was worn during PM Modi's meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron at the inauguration of India's new consulate in Marseille on Wednesday. In her post, Kangana shared a picture of PM Modi and President Macron holding hands and captioned it, “Himachali topi’s debut in Paris,” along with heart and bouquet emojis.
PM Modi was in France for a three-day visit to strengthen the relationship between India and France. He was warmly welcomed by the Indian community in Marseille, with music from dhols and chants of "Modi, Modi." The visit showed the close friendship between the two countries, and both leaders expressed respect for each other.
During the inauguration ceremony, PM Modi wore a traditional outfit, which included a wool black kurta, cream churidar pyjama pants, and a grey jacket. He completed the look with a red muffler scarf and an embroidered shawl. He also wore the Himachali topi, which featured bright colors like red, blue, and green, symbolizing his pride in his heritage.
PM Modi also took the time to honor Indian soldiers who fought in the World Wars. He visited the Mazargues Cemetery in Marseille with President Macron and laid a wreath of flowers in the colors of the Indian flag to pay tribute to the brave soldiers.
