Pharrell Williams, the creative director of Louis Vuitton, has teased a new sneaker called the "ButterSoft." He shared a sneak peek of the retro-inspired, round-toed sneaker on his Instagram account, skateboard. The shoe has many similarities to the classic Nike Cortez, with a simple design and a wide toe. Pharrell has designed the sneaker in 47 different colors, with some featuring Louis Vuitton’s signature monogram pattern and others showing an "LV" logo on the side. Many of the shoes also have a touch of brown at the toe and heel tab. Fans have quickly pointed out that the ButterSoft sneaker looks similar to Pharrell's Ice Cream Board Flip sneakers from the 2000s, as well as the Nike Cortez.
The details about the official release of the ButterSoft sneaker are still unknown, but it’s expected to be part of Louis Vuitton’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection. Pharrell is preparing for his fourth runway show with the brand, which will take place in Paris on January 21, 2025. The show is likely to feature many of Pharrell’s new designs, including the ButterSoft sneaker, which fans are excited to see. Stay tuned for more updates on this stylish new sneaker and its release.
