Radhika Merchant turned heads at Vivienne Westwood’s debut fashion show in India, held at the historic Gateway of India, Mumbai. The event, which showcased the luxury brand’s exquisite designs, had a star-studded guest list, but Radhika’s breathtaking outfit stole the spotlight.

Radhika Merchant Looks Straight Out of a Fairytale!

For the occasion, Radhika opted for a timeless blend of vintage and contemporary fashion. She wore a classic 1990s Vivienne Westwood corset paired with a custom-made saree. The ivory silk corset, a masterpiece from the designer’s archives, featured the famous painting Daphnis and Chloe by French artist François Boucher. With its sleeveless design, sweetheart neckline, and asymmetrical hem, the corset added a regal touch to her look.

Complementing the corset, Radhika draped a custom silk saree adorned with Renaissance-style artwork and a golden border. She elegantly held the pallu in one hand, letting the floor-sweeping drape add grandeur to her presence.

Minimal Accessories & Elegant Styling

Styled by Rhea Kapoor, Radhika kept her accessories minimal yet striking. She paired her outfit with a statement white choker necklace featuring a studded white stone, diamond ear studs, and a black beaded bracelet.

Her makeup was soft and sophisticated—nude eyeshadow, black eyeliner, voluminous mascara, contoured cheeks, and a subtle pink lipstick completed her radiant look. She styled her hair in a sleek middle-parted bun, allowing her ensemble to take center stage.

Vivienne Westwood’s Grand India Debut

Vivienne Westwood’s much-anticipated debut fashion show in India took place on April 1, celebrating the country’s rich artisanal textile heritage. The collection featured a mix of Spring-Summer 2025 designs, rare archive pieces, and couture outfits crafted from handwoven Chanderi silks and Khadi fabrics.

The event marked a historic moment for the fashion house, blending global luxury with India’s timeless textile traditions.
