In a nail-biting climax to the Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress locked horns for power in the state. Exit polls had predicted a favorable outcome for the BJP, and as the votes were counted on December 3, those predictions seemed to materialize.
Incumbent Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan led the BJP charge against Congress's Kamal Nath, setting the stage for a high-stakes battle.
The Congress won 64 seats in the state, securing a majority. BRS claimed 39 seats, while the BJP and AIMIM won 8 and 7 seats, respectively.

Reddy's margin of victory, 5810 votes, reflected a major upset in the Telangana Assembly elections, positioning him as a serious contender for the top post.
Meanwhile, in Chhattisgarh, the BJP claimed victory with a majority vote share of 46.27%, surpassing the Indian National Congress.
The 90-member legislative assembly saw the BJP secure an absolute majority with 54 seats, leaving Congress trailing with 35 seats.
