Congress criticized for Priyanka Gandhi's candidacy in Wayanad

Acharya Pramod Krishnam, a former leader of the Congress, has taken a harsh stance against the party for selecting Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to represent Wayanad in the next Lok Sabha elections. The Congress has come under heavy fire from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the nomination, accusing it of misleading the voters in Wayanad and continuing dynasty politics. Renowned BJP politician Shehzad Poonawalla charged that the Gandhi family had discriminated against Priyanka Gandhi by sending her to South India in order to gain political traction.
