AICC General Secretary Venugopal made the announcement during a press conference, stating, "The Congress Election Committee convened yesterday and finalized the first list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections, which includes Rahul Gandhi and Bhupesh Baghel." Of the 39 nominees, 15 belong to the general category while 24 hail from ST/SC/OBC and minority backgrounds, ensuring a diverse representation within the party's electoral lineup.
