BJP’s Strong Performance in Delhi
The election results showed a strong wave in favor of the BJP, with the party leading in 45 out of 70 assembly seats. This is a major shift, as BJP has not been in power in Delhi since 1998. Meanwhile, AAP had dominated the past decade with major wins in 2015 and 2020.
Delhi, with 1.55 crore eligible voters, saw a voter turnout of 60.54% in the elections held on February 5.
