As the Delhi election date 2025 draws closer, the political atmosphere in the capital is heating up. The national capital is witnessing a three-way battle between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and the Congress. On Sunday, Delhi saw intense political rallies with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, AAP’s Arvind Kejriwal, and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge leading aggressive campaigns to win over voters.

With just three days left for the February 5 elections, BJP conducted over 80 rallies, while AAP and Congress also took to the streets, leaving no stone unturned in their final push for votes.

Narendra Modi Accuses AAP of Corruption

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a massive crowd in RK Puram, directly attacking AAP for its alleged corruption and failed governance over the past 11 years. He accused Kejriwal’s government of making false promises and claimed that Delhi had suffered due to AAP’s mismanagement. Modi promised that a double-engine government—a term used to refer to the same party ruling both the Centre and state—would bring true development and prosperity to Delhi.

Following the rally, Modi posted on social media platform X, stating, "Delhiites trust only the BJP because it does what it says. It is clear from the huge crowd gathered in RK Puram that the 'lotus' will bloom in Delhi."

Arvind Kejriwal Accuses BJP of ‘Hooliganism’

AAP leader and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal fired back at the BJP, alleging that the party was using hooliganism to intimidate AAP supporters ahead of the Delhi election date 2025. He claimed that BJP workers were threatening and attacking AAP supporters, particularly in the New Delhi constituency, where he is contesting against BJP’s Parvesh Verma and Congress’ Sandeep Dikshit.

Kejriwal further launched the social media campaign #AmitShahKiGoondagardi on X, where AAP leaders and supporters shared videos and messages about alleged threats and attacks. “Our leaders and supporters are being threatened to join the BJP or face arrest and attacks. But we cannot be scared,” he said.

Mallikarjun Kharge Calls Modi ‘Chief of Liars’

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge took the political attacks a step further, calling Narendra Modi the ‘jhoothon ka sardar’ (chief of liars) and accusing Kejriwal of surpassing him in deception. At a rally in Mustafabad, he criticized both leaders, saying that Kejriwal had misled the people and betrayed anti-corruption activist Anna Hazare.

Kharge did not hold back in his remarks: “Kejriwal came on foot to ask for votes and then moved into ‘Sheesh Mahal.’ He used to drive a small car, now he has a convoy of 10-20 luxury cars. This is his simplicity? And then there’s his ‘Bawa’—Modi—who also deceives people with emotional stories. Both are liars and will ruin the country.”

He urged voters to use AAP’s own symbol, the broom, to sweep them out of power. Additionally, he criticized Modi’s unfulfilled promises on farmers’ welfare and employment, reinforcing the Congress' pitch to voters ahead of the Delhi election date 2025.

Delhi Gears Up for a High-Stakes Election

The Delhi election date 2025 is just around the corner, with voting set for February 5 and counting scheduled for February 8. With AAP defending its rule, BJP pushing for a comeback, and Congress attempting to regain lost ground, Delhi voters have a crucial choice ahead.

As the campaigning reaches its peak, political attacks are intensifying. While Modi is banking on his governance record and the double-engine strategy, Kejriwal is relying on his grassroots support and welfare schemes. Meanwhile, Kharge and Congress are making a strong pitch against both, hoping to capitalize on anti-incumbency sentiments.

Delhi’s political battleground is set for a decisive electoral showdown. Now, it remains to be seen which party will emerge victorious on the Delhi election date 2025.
