Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has lashed out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal (Secular) (JD(S)), dismissing their speculations about his government's fall. Responding to former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy's prediction of the government collapsing post the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Siddaramaiah compared the situation of the BJP and JD(S) to struggling fish out of water, suggesting they were in a state of delusion.
Kumaraswamy had alleged that the Congress-led government in Karnataka was facing internal conflicts, hinting at a potential collapse after the national elections. He claimed that a senior minister from the Congress had engaged in discussions with BJP leaders at the national level to switch parties, bringing along around 50 Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs). However, Kumaraswamy did not reveal the identity of the minister involved in these purported talks.
