The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has once again criticized the central government for the worsening law and order situation in Delhi. AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal took to social media on Thursday, expressing concern over the increasing incidents of crime in the national capital.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Kejriwal stated, "Another morning with heartbreaking news. Bullets are being fired openly. Delhi's criminals no longer have any fear of law and order." He added a picture of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and remarked, "Seeing Delhi bleeding, Mogambo is happy," highlighting the growing frustration over the situation.
एक और सुबह दिल दहला देने वाली खबर के साथ। सरेआम गोलियाँ चल रही हैं। दिल्ली के अपराधियों में अब कानून व्यवस्था का कोई डर नहीं बचा। https://t.co/zBnBBGPrLY

Sanjay Singh, an AAP MP, also raised the issue in the Rajya Sabha. He filed a suspension of business notice, calling for a discussion on the deteriorating law and order situation, rising crime rates, and threats to public representatives in Delhi. Singh pointed out that the capital city, where top political figures like the Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, and Members of Parliament live, is facing an alarming surge in criminal activities.
Singh highlighted several recent incidents, including a bomb blast in Prashant Vihar, a threatening email received by a school in Rohini, and the brutal murder of a child in Shalimar Bagh. He also mentioned a recent bomb threat to 44 schools across the city, which has negatively impacted Delhi's reputation. Additionally, Singh drew attention to the daylight shooting of a businessman in Shahdara, suggesting that the criminals' confidence is growing due to the lack of effective law enforcement.
Singh also raised concerns over the alleged attack on Kejriwal during his padyatra in November 2024. He argued that the attack exposed the weaknesses in public security and added to the political tensions in the city. He called for the issue to be debated in Parliament under Rule 267.
In a related development, Delhi Police arrested two suspects following a shooting incident in Kalyanpuri on Wednesday night. According to the police, the shooting was the result of a long-standing family feud, which has been ongoing for over a decade.
This fresh wave of criticism from the AAP comes amid rising fears that the criminals in Delhi are becoming bolder, with little fear of facing the consequences of their actions. The party has continued to demand greater attention and accountability from the central government to improve safety and security in the capital.
