In a significant development, the Lok Sabha on Friday adopted the report of its ethics committee, resulting in the expulsion of Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra.
The committee found Moitra guilty of accepting gifts and illegal gratification from businessman Darshan Hiranandani to further his interests.
