An estimated cost of Rs.500 Crores is due to structural flaws, especially in Delhi stadiums. Even if one doesn't consider the cost of renovation of the roof, other renovations will require a huge expenditure. As per the sources, It will cost approximately 100 crores for Delhi Stadium, 127 Crores for Kolkata’s Eden, 78 crores for Wankhede, and about 117.17 crores for Hyderabad.

The plans resulted as fans vented ire over the sanitization of restrooms during test series held between February and March.

Before this, Wankhede at Mumbai got renovated after some complaints about the sanitation facilities. According to the list accessed, there were approximately 12 avenues shortlisted for this purpose.

This will be the 46th ICC event in which 48 games will be played. India hosted ODI in 2011 when MS Dhoni-led team lifted the trophy.
