Professional skateboarder Daisuke Ikeda has announced a temporary suspension of his activities following an incident during a trip to Taipei, Taiwan.​

🎨 The Incident

On April 6, 2025, Ikeda and another skateboarder reportedly entered a building in Taipei and spray-painted the exterior walls, air conditioner units, and elevators. Ikeda later stated that he was intoxicated at the time and thought it was humorous.​

⚖️ Legal Outcome

Taiwanese authorities questioned Ikeda but did not arrest him. The building owner confirmed that a settlement was reached, and no criminal charges were filed.​

Murasaki Sports, a Tokyo-based sports equipment retailer, represents Ikeda. The company acknowledged the incident and stated that while no legal action was taken, Ikeda's actions violated social responsibility and morals.
