The San Antonio Spurs lost to the Charlotte Hornets in a close game on Friday. De'Aaron Fox almost won the game with a last-second shot, but it was ruled too late by the referees.
Exciting Finish in the Last Few Seconds
With the game tied at 114-114, Fox made a jump shot with 8.4 seconds left to give the Spurs the lead. But the Hornets quickly came back. Miles Bridges hit a three-pointer with help from LaMelo Ball to give the Hornets the lead.
Fox had a chance to win it with a shot as time ran out, but the referees said it was too late, and the Spurs lost the game.

De'Aaron Fox's Strong Performance
This was Fox’s second game with the Spurs after being traded from the Sacramento Kings. He played well, scoring 22 points, making 6 assists, and getting 4 steals. Fox joined the Spurs to help the team and play with rookie star Victor Wembanyama.

Stephon Castle Leads the Spurs in Scoring
Rookie Stephon Castle also had a great game, scoring 33 points off the bench. He was the top scorer of the game, showing that he can be an important player for the Spurs.
