The ICC World Test Championship: Cricket's Ultimate Showdown
The World Test Championship which is also known as Test World Cup was started by the International Cricket Council on 1st August 2019. It began to accomplish the ICC’s goal of a pinnacle tournament in each of its three formats of international cricket.
This exciting and thrilling series started first in 2019-2021 and then the latest edition in 2021-2023. Although the championship was planned to be held in 2009, it was abandoned. Out of the 9 teams who have participated New Zealand has given its best but still, any champion can’t be predicted yet. As teams have come across the finals fans are keeping their own guesses for who will win the trophy for the latest edition.
Who is Playing?
The 2021-2023 final, the second edition of the ICC World Test Championship is in form from 7th June to 11 June. The test series is to be held at the Oval, London, England in between Australian and Indian Teams.
Both teams qualified to reach the finals of the World Test Championship, as both had the highest number of points at the due. From their last match, multiple series were postponed and leagues were only determined by percentage until now.

What is the update after day two?
The match started on 7th June, 2023 with both teams missing some key players. Where India has lost the services of baller R Ashwin, pacer Jasprit Bumrah, wicket keeper and batsman Rishabh Pant and Kl Rahul. Australian star player Josh Hazlewood missed the final test due to his left Achilles and the strain in his left side arm.
Day 1 started with the match swinging towards the Kangaroos, where Travis Head and Steve Smith guided them to a total of 327, with 7 wickets still in hand. India started with a strong note with Mohammed Siraj sending Usman Khwaja back to pavilion for 0. But it was the massive partnership of the duo that made the Kangaroos stretch the score to 327.
Second day seemed like a great trouble to Indians, as the Australian team was able to put down a massive score of 469 runs against them.While they were reduced to 151 with only 5 wickets in hand. With the game now on the shoulders of Ajinkay Rahane, it is to be seen how India would achieve their momentum and bring them to victory.
