If players like Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson get off to a flying start, the chase could be effectively decided within the powerplay. It’s worth noting that the ball isn’t coming onto the bat as it did in Kolkata, which might make things interesting.

The BCCI has confirmed that Nitish Kumar Reddy will miss the ongoing 5-match T20I series after suffering a side strain injury during a practice session in Chennai. He will now head to the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru for further treatment.

Rinku Singh, who sustained a low back spasm while fielding in the 1st T20I on January 22, is also ruled out of the 2nd and 3rd T20Is. However, he is recovering well, with the BCCI medical team closely monitoring his progress.

In their place, Shivam Dube and Ramandeep Singh have been added to the squad as replacements.
