With this win, India has taken a 2-0 lead in the five-match T20I series. Chasing a mammoth target of 236, Australia got off to a poor start losing their top four for just 58 runs inside the powerplay overs.
Leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi (3/32) wreaked havoc dismissing Aaron Finch, Josh Inglis, and Steven Smith cheaply. Glenn Maxwell (12) also perished soon after as Australia stared down the barrel.

After that, Marcus Stoinis (46) and Tim David (54) tried to resurrect the innings with a quickfire 81-run stand. But some tight bowling from India, especially Prasidh Krishna (3/41) and Mukesh Kumar (1/43), ensured Australia fell way short of the target.

India batted first and scored a big 235/4 with impressive half-centuries from openers Yashasvi Jaiswal (53) and Ruturaj Gaikwad (58).
The pair added 77 runs in just 5.5 overs to give India a flying start. Ishan Kishan then smashed 52 off 29 balls before Rinku Singh provided the late flourish with an unbeaten 31 off just 9 balls.

For Australia, Nathan Ellis (3/53) was the pick of the bowlers but lacked support from the rest of the attack.
With two wins in two games, India has showcased their bench strength admirably even in the absence of senior players. They will now look to seal the series in the next match on Tuesday.
