Butler Cleared to Play After Missing Game 3
Golden State Warriors forward Jimmy Butler has been officially cleared to play in Game 4 of the Western Conference first-round series against the Houston Rockets. Butler missed Game 3 after suffering a left pelvic contusion and glute soreness during an awkward fall in Game 2. Despite his absence, the Warriors managed a strong 104-93 win, giving them a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.
Injury Happened After Collision with Rockets' Amen Thompson
Butler's injury happened early in Game 2 when Rockets guard Amen Thompson undercut him during a rebound attempt. The collision forced Butler to leave the game after just eight minutes of action. Since then, he has undergone intensive treatment and participated fully in the Warriors' shootaround session on Monday, leading to his clearance for Game 4.
Butler’s Return Strengthens Warriors’ Playoff Push
Before the injury, Butler averaged 14.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists over the first two games of the series. His presence is expected to give Golden State a big lift as they look to widen their advantage and move closer to the second round. Game 4 is set to tip off at 7:00 p.m. PT at Chase Center, and the Warriors are hoping Butler’s return will spark another strong performance.
