A new era for WWE starts as Netflix becomes the exclusive home for WWE Monday Night Raw. The show, which has been running for 31 years, will now stream live every Monday on Netflix in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and Latin America. The first episode on Netflix airs at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET on Monday, live from the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.
This move is part of a massive 10-year, $5 billion deal between WWE and Netflix, signed in January 2024. The deal includes an option to extend for five more years. For the first time, fans can watch Monday Night Raw on a streaming platform.
The debut show on Netflix will feature top WWE stars like John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, CM Punk, and Bianca Belair. However, this is not just a regular event for Cena—it marks the beginning of his farewell tour, titled The Last Time is Now John Cena Farewell Tour. Cena announced in 2024 that he would retire from wrestling in 2025 after 30 to 40 matches during the tour.
John Cena, who started his WWE career on June 27, 2002, against Kurt Angle, has become a legend in the wrestling world. Now, he is transitioning into acting, with notable roles in movies like Bumblebee, The Suicide Squad, and Trainwreck. In 2024, Cena starred in several films, including Argylle and Die Hart 2: Die Harter, and made a guest appearance on the hit series The Bear. He is also set to return as Peacemaker in the DC series’ second season on Max in 2025.
Cena says his farewell tour is all about joy and making great memories. “The goal is to bring people together and have fun,” he said. While fans may feel emotional, Cena wants to make this a celebration of his incredible career.
For WWE fans, the combination of Cena’s farewell matches and WWE Raw streaming on Netflix makes this an unforgettable time. Don’t miss Monday Night Raw live on Netflix every week, starting Monday, January 8, 2025.
