Josh Allen, the quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, has been named the NFL MVP for the 2024 season. Allen had an amazing year, throwing for 3,731 yards and 40 total touchdowns. He received 27 first-place votes, beating Lamar Jackson from the Baltimore Ravens, who got 23 votes. This is the first MVP award for Josh Allen.
The award was announced at the NFL Honors event in New Orleans, just days before the Super Bowl. The ceremony also recognized other top players and coaches from the 2024 season.

2025 Hall of Fame Class Announced
The 2025 Pro Football Hall of Fame class was also revealed. The new Hall of Famers include Eric Allen, Jared Allen, Antonio Gates, and Sterling Sharpe. However, Eli Manning, the former quarterback of the New York Giants who won two Super Bowls, did not make it this year.

Other Award Winners
At the NFL Honors ceremony, several other awards were handed out. Kevin O'Connell, head coach of the Minnesota Vikings, was named Coach of the Year after leading his team to a 14-3 record. Saquon Barkley of the Philadelphia Eagles won Offensive Player of the Year. Patrick Surtain II from the Denver Broncos was named Defensive Player of the Year. Joe Burrow from the Cincinnati Bengals won Comeback Player of the Year for bouncing back from an injury.

Jayden Daniels from the Philadelphia Eagles won Offensive Rookie of the Year. He played a key role in the Eagles' offense this season.
