Can you believe it? March Madness 2025 is practically knocking on our door! Selection Sunday, the day we finally get to see the brackets for both the men's and women's NCAA Division I basketball tournaments, is March 16th, 2025. Get your brackets ready – it's going to be a wild ride!
The Men's Tournament: What to Expect
The men's bracket reveal is happening at 6 p.m. ET on CBS. Mark your calendars! The tournament itself kicks off with the First Four on March 18th and 19th. Then it's on to the main event, with the Final Four in San Antonio, Texas on April 5th, culminating in the championship game on April 7th. There are some key dates to circle: the first round (March 20th-21st), the Sweet Sixteen (March 27th-28th), and the nail-biting Elite Eight (March 29th-30th). This year's games are spread across the country, from Dayton, Ohio to Indianapolis, Indiana – quite a journey for some teams! And remember last year's upsets? A whopping 23.2% of double-digit seeds pulled off first-round wins. Honestly, who saw that coming? This year could be even crazier!
The Women's Tournament: A Showdown
The women's bracket will be unveiled a little later, at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN. The women's First Four games start March 19th-20th, leading up to the championship game on April 6th at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. The women's game is more competitive than ever, and I'm expecting some incredible games and maybe a few shocking results. The tournament is also taking place in several exciting cities, including Birmingham, Alabama, and Spokane, Washington.
