Gujarat Giants lost to Mumbai Indians in their recent match, with the Giants scoring only 120 runs. Mumbai won by five wickets with 23 balls to spare. After the match, Gujarat's coach Michael Klinger said the team made some tactical mistakes, especially in batting, which led to the loss.

The Giants had a tough start, losing four wickets in the first six overs (powerplay). They tried to recover, but their total of 120 runs was too low to defend. Klinger said they could have scored 140 or 145 with better partnerships, which might have kept them in the game. Despite the loss, he praised the bowlers for doing their best to keep the team in the match.

This was the fifth straight loss for Gujarat against Mumbai in the Women's Premier League (WPL). However, Klinger remains hopeful. He believes the team has time to turn things around and aims for a comeback in the next leg of the tournament in Bengaluru. Gujarat has one win from three matches so far.

Klinger also highlighted Kashvee Gautam's performance, who scored a quick 20 runs off 17 balls. He believes Kashvee has a lot of potential and could bat higher in future matches.

On the other hand, Mumbai Indians played well with Nat Sciver-Brunt scoring a half-century to help her team win. Mumbai's top bowler, Hayley Matthews, said the team was hungry for a win after their close loss in the first match of the season.

In the end, while Gujarat lost, they have a chance to improve and bounce back in the upcoming matches.
