Samsung has officially announced the rollout of One UI 7, starting from April 7, 2025. The update will bring a fresh new design, AI-powered features, and a more personalized user experience. It will first be available on the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Z Flip6, followed by a gradual rollout to other Galaxy smartphones and tablets.
What’s New in One UI 7?
1. Enhanced Personalization & Design
One UI 7 introduces a simplified home screen, redesigned One UI widgets, and an intuitive lock screen. Users can easily customize their devices for a smoother experience.
A standout addition is the Now Bar, which provides real-time updates directly on the lock screen. Users can check their fitness progress, see what’s playing on their Galaxy Buds, and access important notifications—all without unlocking their phone.
2. AI-Powered Smart Features
Samsung is integrating Galaxy AI to make interactions more natural and efficient:
- AI Select: Allows users to create GIFs from videos with a simple swipe.
- Writing Assist: Helps summarize and format text easily.
- Drawing Assist: Enhances creativity by combining text prompts, sketches, and images.
- Audio Eraser: Removes unwanted background noise from videos.
Additionally, Google Gemini AI integration lets users control their device effortlessly. A long-press of the side button enables users to ask questions like, "Find pet-friendly Italian restaurants nearby," and instantly receive recommendations.
Natural language search also extends to Settings, making it easier to adjust preferences. For example, saying “My eyes are feeling tired” will bring up options like adjusting brightness or enabling Eye Comfort Shield.
