Sega has unveiled exciting details about Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, the latest entry in the Sonic Racing series. The game will bring Sonic and other Sega characters into new dimensions, offering thrilling races across different worlds with unique mechanics.

New Feature: Travel Rings

A brand-new feature called Travel Rings will change how races unfold. On the second lap, the lead racer can choose a CrossWorld, instantly transporting all players to a completely different location. These new worlds are packed with surprises, from giant monsters to interactive obstacles, making every race feel fresh and unpredictable.

Race Across Land, Sea, and Air

The tracks in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds constantly change as the race progresses. Inspired by past Sonic racing games, the tracks will shift between land, sea, and air, requiring players to adapt their racing strategy mid-race for an intense and dynamic experience.

New Gadgets for Strategic Racing

Players can now equip Gadgets, similar to RPG-style power-ups, before a race. These Gadgets offer different perks, like speed boosts or extra items, allowing players to customize their playstyle. As players progress, they can unlock stronger Gadgets and more slots to enhance their racing advantage.

Deep Vehicle Customization

For the first time in Sonic Racing history, characters are no longer tied to specific vehicles. Players can mix and match different cars, adjusting speed, acceleration, and handling to fit their style. There’s also a detailed customization system, allowing players to change colors, decals, and even the vehicle’s interior.

Extreme Gear Returns!

A fan favorite from Sonic Riders, the Extreme Gear hoverboards are making a comeback! These high-speed, boost-focused hoverboards will offer a new way to race, adding another layer of excitement.

Closed Network Test for PS5 Players

Sega is offering a Closed Network Test (CNT) for PS5 players, allowing them to experience some of the game’s features before launch. However, the Extreme Gear won’t be included in this early test.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is coming soon to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. Players can wishlist the game on the PlayStation Store to stay updated on its release. Get ready to race across dimensions in this thrilling new Sonic adventure! 🚀🏁
