Sony’s State of Play event in February 2025 brought exciting updates for PlayStation fans! From new game reveals to fresh trailers and release dates, here’s everything announced:
Big Game Reveals and Release Dates
🔹 Borderlands 4 – The looter-shooter returns on September 23 for PS5. A full gameplay reveal is coming later this year.
🔹 Days Gone Remastered – The PS5 version launches on April 25, 2025, featuring better graphics, 3D audio, and new modes like Horde Assault and Permadeath Mode. PS4 and PC players can upgrade for $10.
🔹 Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater – The remake arrives on August 28 for PS5, featuring a fresh look at the Cobra Unit and the return of the Snake vs Monkey mini-game.
🔹 Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic – A brand-new horror adventure comes to PS5 and PS VR2 on June 13.
🔹 Monster Hunter Wilds – Launching February 28, with a post-launch update coming in the spring.
🔹 WWE 2K25 – Releasing on March 14, this version includes The Island, an open-world WWE environment for up to 50 players.
🔹 Splitgate 2 – A massive Alpha Test for this sci-fi shooter starts on February 27, featuring 24-player battles.
Exciting New Games
🔹 Darwin’s Paradox! – Play as an octopus trying to escape a mysterious factory in this puzzle platformer, coming in 2025.
🔹 Digimon Story: Time Stranger – The next big Digimon RPG, where players explore both the human and Digital World.
🔹 Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii – A demo is available on February 14 before the full game launches next month.
🔹 Lies of P: Overture – A new prequel DLC for the hit action RPG, exploring the city of Krat before its downfall.
🔹 Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny (Remaster) – This classic samurai action game gets a PS5 and PS4 remaster on May 23.
🔹 Sonic Racing CrossWorlds – A new Sonic racing game featuring Travel Rings that teleport racers across different worlds.
🔹 Shinobi: Art of Vengeance – The classic ninja franchise returns in a 2D action platformer on August 29, 2025.
🔹 Warriors: Abyss – A roguelike twist on Dynasty Warriors, launching today on PS5 and PS4.
🔹 Tides of Annihilation – A fantasy action game set in a mystical version of London.
🔹 Directive 8020 – A sci-fi horror adventure where astronauts fight for survival, launching on October 2.
PlayStation Plus Updates
New games are coming to PlayStation Plus Game Catalog starting February 18, including:
- Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
- Top Spin 2K25
- Lost Records: Bloom & Rage (Episode 1)
- Blue Prince (Architectural adventure game)
- Abiotic Factor (Survival crafting game)
