At MWC 2025, Tecno unveiled its latest innovation—the Tecno Spark Slim, the world’s slimmest smartphone, measuring just 5.75mm thick. This ultra-thin design puts it ahead of rumored slim flagships like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge and iPhone 17 Air.
Despite its slim form, Tecno has some powerful specs. The 5,200mAh battery supports 45W fast charging, outperforming many flagship devices. The 6.78-inch AMOLED display features 3K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and 4,500 nits peak brightness, ensuring vibrant visuals.
The Spark Slim sports dual 50MP rear cameras and a 13MP front camera, enhanced with decorative lights around the lenses. Surprisingly, Tecno had to add weight to the phone to make it more comfortable to hold, bringing it to 144 grams.
However, there’s a catch—the Spark Slim is not yet commercially available. Tecno primarily serves emerging markets like Africa, where such a high-end design might be too expensive. But with growing interest, a retail version might be on the horizon.
While the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge and iPhone 17 Air remain highly anticipated, Tecno has already proven that ultra-thin smartphones can be both stylish and powerful. Now, it’s up to Apple and Samsung to match Tecno’s bold innovation.
