Xiaomi is set to launch its latest flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, in China this month. Although the exact launch date has not been officially confirmed, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has hinted that the phone may debut by the end of February.
The company has already started pre-reservations for the Xiaomi 15 Ultra in China, but the global launch is expected to happen a few months later. In recent months, Xiaomi has been teasing the smartphone's features, and as the launch date approaches, more leaks and details have started to emerge.
What to Expect from Xiaomi 15 Ultra?
According to reports, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra recently appeared in Geekbench AI benchmark tests with the model number 25010PN30G. The smartphone is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The benchmark tests revealed impressive AI performance scores, suggesting powerful capabilities.
In terms of display, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra may feature a 2K quad-curved screen for an immersive viewing experience. The phone is designed for photography enthusiasts, with a 50MP main camera featuring a Sony LYT-900 sensor. It may also include a 200MP periscope telephoto lens with 4.3x optical zoom (Samsung HP9 sensor), a 50MP Sony IMX858 camera, and a telephoto macro lens.
Battery and Software
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is rumored to pack a large 6000mAh battery, supporting 90W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. It is also expected to run on HyperOS, based on Android 15.
Expected Price
Reports suggest that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra could be priced at CNY 6,499 (approximately Rs. 78,000 in India). However, considering the Xiaomi 14 Ultra was launched in India at Rs. 99,999 for the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage variant, the final pricing will only be confirmed when the smartphone officially launches in India.
For now, Xiaomi fans in China can pre-book the smartphone, while global users may have to wait a little longer for its availability.
