Adani Transmission Ltd has undergone a name change and is now known as Adani Energy Solutions Limited, with immediate effect.
A BSE filing said, ‘“The company’s name has been changed from Adani Transmission Limited to Adani Energy Solutions Limited w.e.f. 27th July, 2023 pursuant to the even dated ’Certificate of Incorporation pursuant to change of name’ received from the Registrar of Companies, Ahmedabad.”
As a vital division of the Adani group, Adani Energy Solutions operates in the transmission and distribution business, boasting a widespread presence across 14 states. The company's cumulative transmission network spans an impressive 19,779 ckm, of which 15,371 ckm are currently operational, and 4,408 ckm are at different stages of construction.
The company has scheduled a board meeting on July 31, during which it will announce the results for the first quarter in June. In the last quarter, the company managed to expand its operational network by 550 ckm, bringing the total network to 19,778 ckm. Impressively, it upheld a system availability rate well above 99.7%.
Notably, the distribution loss for Q1 FY24 stood at an improved 4.85%, a notable decrease compared to 6.95% recorded in Q1 FY23, which the company attributes partially to seasonal factors.
Despite these, the company's shares experienced a slight dip on Thursday, closing 1.01% lower at Rs 806.70 on NSE.
