Elon Musk is now heading another company with team members who have worked in top companies like Microsoft Research, Google Research, Open AI, and DeepMind.
Elon Musk took to Twitter to release this news. Earlier also this business magnate mentioned that he wanted to start a venture that can understand the nature of the universe.
Without giving many details about his AI company, Elon Musk tweeted, ‘Announcing the formation of @xAI to understand reality’.
The company's website mentioned that the team will host Twitter spaces chat on Friday, July 14th, although there’s no mention of a specific time of the same. Musk's new business apparently purchased thousands of GPUs early this year for a Twitter-related AI project, however, it is unclear whether X.AI is that project.
xAI initially came to attention in April, when it was indicated that Musk created the business in Nevada. At the time, Musk was identified as its director, with Jared Birchall, the director of Musk's family office, serving as its secretary. At the time, nothing was known about xAI, but sources said Musk sought funding from SpaceX and Tesla to get it started.
