Chatham, Illinois Tragedy: Four Children Dead After Car Crashes into After-School Camp
A devastating tragedy struck the Chatham, Illinois community on Monday, April 28, 2025, leaving four children dead and several others injured after a vehicle plowed into the YNOT After School Camp. The incident, which occurred around 3:20 p.m., has sent shockwaves through the town and beyond, prompting an outpouring of grief and support.

The vehicle, driven by a sole occupant who was uninjured, veered off the road and crashed into the east side of the YNOT After School Camp building located at 301 Breckenridge Road. The car continued through the building, tragically striking multiple individuals both inside and outside before exiting the west side. Four young victims, ranging in age from 7 to 18, perished in the accident. Six other children sustained injuries, with at least one remaining in critical condition.
