In April 2025, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) carried out several major enforcement operations targeting undocumented immigrants and criminal suspects across multiple states. These coordinated actions led to hundreds of arrests and even the detainment of a sitting judge.
Colorado Springs: Nightclub Raided, 100+ Detained
Federal authorities raided an illegal nightclub in Colorado Springs, detaining over 100 people suspected of being in the country unlawfully. The club was being investigated for alleged drug trafficking, prostitution, and violent crimes.
The large-scale operation involved more than 300 officers from various law enforcement agencies. Interestingly, over a dozen active-duty military personnel were present—either working as security or attending the club—but none were detained as part of the raid.
Florida’s ‘Operation Tidal Wave’: Nearly 800 Arrested
Florida saw one of the largest ICE crackdowns this year. Operation Tidal Wave, a joint operation between ICE and state law enforcement, resulted in the arrest of nearly 800 people over four days.

San Antonio Standoff: Man Climbs Tree to Avoid ICE
In San Antonio, Texas, a bizarre standoff occurred when 29-year-old Raul Ical, a Guatemalan national, climbed a tree to evade ICE agents attempting to arrest him in a residential area.
Ical had been previously deported in 2013 and reentered the U.S. without authorization. He remained in the tree for nearly nine hours before surrendering. He is now facing federal charges for illegal reentry.
Wisconsin Judge Arrested for Aiding Immigrant Escape
In a rare incident involving the judiciary, Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan was arrested by the FBI. She is accused of helping an undocumented immigrant, Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, evade ICE custody by allowing him to exit through a restricted courthouse area.
Judge Dugan now faces charges of obstruction of justice and harboring a fugitive, with potential prison time of up to 15 years if convicted.
