Iran has strongly condemned the latest wave of Israeli airstrikes on Gaza, accusing the United States of supporting the ongoing violence. The Iranian government expressed concern over the rising casualties and worsening humanitarian crisis in the region.
On Tuesday, Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, Esmaeil Baghaei, issued a statement denouncing Israel’s actions and holding the U.S. responsible for enabling continued attacks on Palestinian territories.
Iran Accuses U.S. of Supporting Conflict
Baghaei directly blamed Washington for the escalating violence, stating that the U.S. bears responsibility for "the continuation of genocide in the occupied Palestinian territories." According to Iran, the military aid and diplomatic support provided by the U.S. to Israel contribute to the ongoing crisis.
The United States has been one of Israel’s strongest allies, supplying billions in military assistance. While U.S. officials have urged caution to prevent civilian casualties, they continue to emphasize Israel’s right to self-defense.
Israel Rejects Genocide Allegations
Israeli authorities have firmly denied accusations of genocide, asserting that their military operations are targeted at Hamas, not Palestinian civilians. They argue that Hamas militants operate from within residential areas, making precision strikes necessary.
"We are conducting defensive operations against terrorist threats, not targeting the Palestinian population," an Israeli spokesperson stated. The conflict has resulted in thousands of deaths and widespread destruction, drawing global concern.
Rising Humanitarian Concerns
The intensifying conflict in Gaza has sparked international reactions, with humanitarian organizations calling for an immediate ceasefire. Widespread destruction, food shortages, and overwhelmed hospitals have put immense pressure on civilians caught in the crossfire.
Middle Eastern nations, including Iran, continue to demand diplomatic intervention, while Western powers remain divided in their response. Analysts warn that if the situation deteriorates further, it could lead to broader regional instability.
