ISRO's Chandrayaan-3 is set to make history today as it is ready for its third lunar exploration mission. The highly anticipated launch is scheduled to take place at 2:35 pm on Friday from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, India.

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has completed the "launch rehearsal" for Chandrayaan-3, ensuring all systems are in place for a successful mission. Building upon the achievements of Chandrayaan-2, this mission aims to demonstrate various capabilities, including reaching the moon's orbit, executing a soft landing using a lander, and deploying a rover to study the lunar surface.

After the launch, the propulsion module is anticipated to detach from the rocket and complete around 5-6 orbits around the Earth in an elliptical trajectory. During this cycle, it will travel from a distance of 170 km at its closest point to a distance of 36,500 km at its farthest point before proceeding toward the orbit around the moon.

To witness this historic event, you can tune in to the live streaming of the launch on ISRO's official website and YouTube channel. The live streaming of this historic event will start at 2 PM IST on July 14.

Chandrayaan-3 holds immense significance for India, as it strives to join the exclusive group of nations that have achieved a controlled lunar landing. The mission's success will bolster India's standing in space exploration and pave the way for future advancements in science and technology.

As the nation eagerly awaits the launch, prominent figures have expressed their support and admiration for ISRO scientists, reflecting the nation's excitement and pride. Chandrayaan-3's journey to the moon is expected to span approximately a month, with the planned landing targeted for late August.

This mission represents a crucial milestone for India's space program, showcasing its growing expertise and commitment to exploring the mysteries of the universe. Stay tuned for updates as Chandrayaan-3 propels India further into the global space exploration arena.
