Who is Jensen Huang?
Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia and one of the richest people in the world. Jensen was born in South Taiwan before his family migrated to the U.S. to live with his relative due to social unrest in City.
After him, his parents also migrated to U.S.and Jensen completed his schooling from there. Jensen received his undergraduate degree from Oregon State University in Electrical Engineering in 1984. While, In 1992, he completed his Master’s at Stanford University.
Nvidia was co-founded by him when he was 30. The company is known for developing integrated circuits known for their use in everything from gaming consoles to personal computers.
Today, Nvidia’s chips have helped companies like Microsoft in adding human-like features to its chatbot Bing.
How did he make a fortune?
The AI hype may have put some jobs at risk but it has also massively boosted the wealth of other industries that produce chips like Nvidia.
The company’s blockbuster first-quarter results resulted in a California-based chipmaker’s share price. This led to his soaring net worth of $7 billion last week as per Bloomberg Billionaire Index. As per Business Insider, when the share price of his company reached $100, he got a tattoo of Nvidia's logo on one arm.
Huang owns 89.6 million Nvidia shares or about 3.5% of Santa Clara Chipmaker, as per the company’s 2023 net report.
Huang’s net worth rose by $21.1 billion this year and made him the 37th richest person in the world.
His views on AI
During Computex in Taipei, He also shared his own views on AI, which is the emerging new era in computing.
As per the CEO of Nvidia, Everyone is a programmer with AI, All one has to do is tell the computer to do things. AI has been the talk of the whole world ever since the release of ChatGPT in 2022. Along with ChatGPT, many other Chatbots came into existence and AI has already become the future.
Jensen Huang has also shared that soon AI will touch every industry and everyone will become the programmer. He even talked about the “new computing era” and the power of people to accomplish things that were impossible before.
He also mentioned that the barrier of programming is incredibly low and any can do anything by saying things to the computer. We have also learned from other personalities as well, that how AI is growing at a fast pace.
This billionaire is known to be years older than Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos when they left day-to-day operations. In his speech, he also revealed new chip release dates, partnerships with major companies, and how he wants to bring generative AI to every data center.
