Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao clarified that while vigilance is in place, there are currently no constraints on public gatherings or inter-state travel. The advisory emphasizes personal hygiene practices like frequent handwashing and advocates staying home when feeling unwell, especially for vulnerable groups. Additionally, it encourages proactive measures such as genomic sequencing of positive cases and an increase in Covid testing across the state.

Dr. K Ravi, the committee chairman, reassured that while precautions are essential, there's no cause for alarm. The advisory underscores the importance of early medical consultation for those displaying respiratory symptoms and the need for hospitals to be prepared for a potential surge in infections.
