P&O Cruises has canceled several upcoming sailings on its Ventura ship due to changes in its operational plans and ship redeployment. These cancellations affect both Caribbean and European voyages, leaving many guests needing to adjust their travel plans.

Here’s a breakdown of which cruises are affected, what options are available to guests, and how to claim compensation or rebook.

Which P&O Ventura Cruises Have Been Canceled?

Several Ventura sailings have been canceled or replaced. Below are the key updates:

  • A 35-night cruise scheduled for January 4, 2027 has been completely removed from Ventura’s schedule.

  • The following cruises are canceled:

    • Cruise code N633

    • Cruise code K607

    • Cruise code K620

    • Cruise code N634

  • Cruise N701, a Caribbean sailing, is being replaced by a similar itinerary on the Iona (sailing G701) on the same dates. Passengers will be moved to equivalent cabins on Iona. Guests who need accessible cabins or evacuation chairs will have their bookings canceled and fully refunded.

  • Cruises K707, K709, K720, and R720 have also been removed, but these were not yet available for booking, so no guests are affected.

Why Were These Cruises Canceled?

The cancellations are part of a broader schedule adjustment and fleet redeployment by P&O Cruises. This means certain ships are being reassigned to new routes or taken out of specific itineraries. Although no official statement detailed each reason, these decisions are common when cruise lines plan for long-term changes.

What Are the Refund and Rebooking Options?

P&O Cruises is offering several options to support guests affected by the cancellations:

Full Refunds

Guests on canceled cruises will receive a full refund to their original payment method. Refunds are expected to be processed within 14 working days.

Rebooking and Compensation

Guests who choose to rebook another cruise by June 30, 2025, will receive onboard credit as a goodwill gesture:

  • £50 per person (up to 2 people per cabin) for guests from cruises N633, K607, and K620

  • £25 per person for guests from cruise N634

Replacement cruises will be available for booking starting June 4, 2025.

Recent Health Concerns on Ventura

In May 2024, the Ventura was in the news for a norovirus outbreak during a 14-night Canary Islands cruise. Over 500 passengers reported illness. P&O Cruises carried out a deep cleaning of the ship once it returned to Southampton, and operations resumed after sanitation procedures.

What Should Affected Guests Do Now?

If you were booked on one of the canceled cruises, it’s best to:

  • Contact P&O Cruises or your travel agent directly

  • Monitor your email for refund updates

  • Rebook before June 30, 2025, if you'd like to take advantage of the onboard credit

P&O has also stated that any travel insurance policies or third-party bookings affected by this change should be handled independently.
