Lansing, Michigan — April 9, 2025:
A police chase that began in Livingston County ended with a serious multi-vehicle crash in South Lansing on Wednesday evening, according to Michigan State Police.
High-Speed Pursuit Crosses County Lines
Authorities first attempted to pull over a vehicle believed to be stolen just before 5:30 p.m. in Livingston County. Instead of stopping, the suspect sped away, leading law enforcement on a high-speed pursuit.
The chase crossed into Ingham County, where more agencies joined in, including Lansing Police and Brighton Police.
Crash at Cedar and Jolly Road
The chase came to a halt near the intersection of Cedar Street and Jolly Road in South Lansing, where the suspect vehicle crashed into multiple cars. At least four vehicles were involved in the wreck.
Witnesses reported chaos at the scene, with damaged vehicles blocking the intersection.
Suspects Flee, But Are Caught
After the crash, the suspects fled on foot. Officers were quick to respond and caught at least two men who were seen in handcuffs at the scene.
The identities of the suspects have not yet been released, and an investigation is ongoing.
Multiple Agencies on Scene
Emergency responders from several departments, including Lansing Fire, Livingston County Sheriff's Office, and Michigan State Police, were on the scene to manage the aftermath of the crash and assist those involved.
