The incident took place near Mira Road Station which falls under Palghat District in Maharashtra. As per the reports, It was 5:23 am in the morning when the incident occurred in the B5 Coach of the Mumbai Central SF Express Station (12956).
As stated by DRM Neeraj Kumar, "At around 6 am we got to know that an RPF constable, who was on escorting duty opened fire...Four people have been shot dead...Our railway officer reached the spot. The families have been contacted. Ex-gratia will be given,"
The accused constable Chetan Kumar Choudhary shot iASI Tika Ram Meena at his escort duty shot at his escort duty and later went to another bogie and shot dead three passengers, in which one has been identified as Asghar, who was a resident of Bihar.
After this, He got down at the Dahisar Station by pulling the chain however, police arrested this 30-year-old constable who was trying to flee. Reportedly, The jawan was upset over his transfer from Gujrat to Mumbai and was also dealing with some family issues.
According to Time Now News, All four dead bodies are being sent to Kandivali’s Shatabdi Hospital.
