Singapore Launches S$400 Climate Voucher Program for Households
Starting April 15, 2025, Singapore is expanding its Climate Vouchers program to help more households buy eco-friendly home appliances. This effort is part of the country's push for sustainability and lower carbon emissions.
Up to S$400 in Vouchers for Energy-Saving Products
Singaporean households can now claim a total of S$400 in vouchers to purchase energy- and water-efficient appliances. This includes an additional S$100 voucher on top of the existing S$300 provided under the Climate Friendly Households Programme (CFHP).
Who Qualifies for the Vouchers?
The program is open to both public housing residents (HDB flats) and private homeowners. This marks the first time that private households are included, broadening the program’s impact.
What Can the Vouchers Be Used For?
The vouchers can be used at approved retailers to buy a range of eco-friendly products, including:
-
Energy-efficient refrigerators
-
Water-saving washing machines
-
LED lighting
-
Water-efficient showerheads and taps
How to Claim the Climate Vouchers
Eligible households can claim their vouchers online by visiting go.gov.sg/cv-claim. A Singpass login is required to complete the process. The vouchers will be valid through December 31, 2027.
Why This Matters
The goal of the Climate Vouchers is to encourage more sustainable habits by making eco-friendly appliances more affordable. These products not only help the environment but also lower electricity and water bills over time.
