Delhi transforms into a cultural spectacle for the G20 Summit with stunning decorations, statues, and beautification projects. Explore the wonders that captivate everyone at this important event.

This important event for India converted the Heart of India, Delhi into the vast culture of India. The city will halt from 8th September to 10th September for the general public but the wonders in which Delhi is decorated have captivated everyone.

Civic Agencies have put their best foot forward in order to beautify the national capital. There are the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), the Public Works Department (PWD), and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). 

  • From 31 statues, 90 fountains, to 1.65 lakh plants. The Public Works Dept. and other agencies have worked carefully on the final touches to the project. Delhi has even undergone a massive beautification drive to prepare for the Big Meet.
  • This 18th G20 Summit happening in Delhi will also have the illumination of the Qutub Minar, A brilliant laser show highlighting the culture and distinction of India is truly breathtaking.
  • Roads are redesigned to present a warm welcome to all the G20 Delegates from the airport to Central Delhi, Aurobindo Marg, Vikas Marg, Lodhi Road, and Rajghat, some roads stretch around ring road are also redesigned up to European Standards.
  • There are various other installations also of massive significance to India Delhi Gate has Konark Wheel, A Y-point near Gulab Vatika has a dancing idol, and  Apsara sculptures on the Hanuman Mandir Junction, As per reports.
  • There are even large banners bearing the motto of G20- Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” - One Earth. One Family. One Future”. There are about 450 banners that bear the images of Red Fort, Humayun’s Tomb, Lotus Temple, and various other iconic heritage sites of Delhi.
  • At Bharat Mandapam, a 28-foot-tall Natarajan statue will greet the delegates. The statue symbolises the Lord of Shiva who is also known as the Lord of Dance. It was crafted by S Devasenathipathy Sthapathy Sons of Swamimalai, Tamil Nadu, and weighs 19 tonnes.
  • 23 Flyovers in Delhi including the ones at Lodhi Road, Chirag Delhi, IIT, Panchsheel, and Moti Bhagh are also decorated beautifully.
  • It is even reported that companies have gifted many artifacts and fountains under their Corporate Social responsibility.
  • Even the recent achievements of India as the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 have been printed on the walls of Delhi by Artists.

India is already making big strides toward Progress in International Relationships. G20 will be another big achievement India will be remembered for.
