Top business moguls, including Mukesh Ambani, Kumar Mangalam Birla, N Chandrasekaran, and Gautam Adani, are gearing up to attend the consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22. This momentous occasion will see the participation of prominent personalities not only from the business sector but also from entertainment, sports, politics, faith, public life, and arts communities.

Among the esteemed guests expected to attend are Mukesh Ambani from Reliance Industries, Kumar Mangalam Birla representing Aditya Birla Group, N Chandrasekaran of Tata Sons, and Gautam Adani from Adani Group. The guest list, comprising over 10,000 invitees, will include individuals from various spheres of influence, symbolizing the significance of the event. Sanjiv Mehta, former CEO of Hindustan Unilever (HUL), expressed his enthusiasm for the ceremony, acknowledging its importance for Hindus and Indians at large. He remarked, “I look forward to the event. It is a big day for all Hindus and Indians. For me, it is a spiritual trip as a Hindu.”

Other notable business figures invited by the temple trust include Anil Agarwal from Vedanta Group, Ajay Piramal of Piramal Enterprises, Gautam Singhania representing Raymond Group, and Venu Srinivasan, chairman emeritus of TVS. Additionally, prominent personalities such as Bharat Forge's Baba Kalyani, Emcure Pharmaceuticals' CEO and MD Satish Mehta, and L&T CMD SN Subrahmanyam are part of the distinguished guest list.

A prominent leader of a major Indian conglomerate conveyed the emotional significance of receiving an invitation from the trust. “The Ayodhya Temple has been a place of faith and spiritual importance for Hindus since time immemorial. And it has always been on my 'must-visit' list,” the leader expressed to the Financial Daily.

Elaborate security measures have been enacted to ensure the smooth execution of the event. Hotels in Ayodhya have reached full occupancy, with stringent protocols established for the participation of revered figures and dignitaries. Each invitee has received a detailed invitation emphasizing the 'one-card-one-person' policy.

Many business leaders plan to utilize private aircraft for travel and intend to stay at renowned hotels such as Radisson in Ayodhya. Preparations are underway to accommodate around 100 planes during the ceremony, with airstrips in Sultanpur, Ambedkar Nagar, and Azamgarh being readied.

Notably, L&T, India's largest engineering company, has undertaken the temple's design and construction without any fees. Meanwhile, the UP Housing and Development Board has initiated an auction for hotel plots in Ayodhya, showcasing the interest of major hotel chains to tap into the burgeoning tourism opportunities associated with the upcoming airport and temple, expecting increased demand for accommodations from FY25.
