Tory Lanez Stabbed 14 Times in California Prison

Canadian rapper Tory Lanez has been stabbed multiple times while serving his sentence at the California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi, about 75 miles north of Los Angeles.

The 32-year-old artist, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, was attacked by another inmate early Monday morning and was quickly taken to a medical facility for emergency treatment.

According to a statement shared via Tory Lanez's official Instagram account:

• He was stabbed 14 times

• Wounds were sustained on his back, torso, head, and face

• Both lungs collapsed during the attack

• He was temporarily placed on a breathing machine

• Lanez is now breathing on his own and in stable condition

The attack occurred around 7:20 a.m. local time. Pedro Calderón Michel from the California Department of Corrections confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation is ongoing. However, no motive for the assault has been disclosed yet.
