Apple’s much-awaited Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2023) was held on Monday. New technology innovations that many tech geeks have been waiting for have been announced. From Macbook to the all-new Vision Pro, Apple stepped up again with some remarkable changes showing the face of the future. Although the Vision Pro headset was already anticipated, news software and hardware added additional charm to the event.

Here are some big announcements that keep you occupied on socials for the next few days:

The Incredible and best-selling laptop is now the thinnest!

As per John Ternus, Apple’s Hardware Chief, the device weighs just over three pounds and has lept from 13 to 15 inches. The device contains an extended battery life of 18 hours, a 1080 pixels webcam, and 500 nits of brightness. The best part is one doesn’t have to wait any longer as it will be available for purchase starting next week.

Finally, The device which can take you through both AR and VR, is Apple's first mixed-reality headset, Vision Pro. 

Cook called it the ‘first Apple product you look through, not at.’ Vision Pro is said to feature a single glass strip with a digital crown that helps you switch in and out of your AR and VR experiences. The device will run on two chips, M2 and R1, for real-time sensor processing. It also comes with inbuilt speakers and a battery capable of running two hours after a single charge.

In the new version of “The Performance Powerhouse”, Apple will be packing “the monster of a chip”!

Some Apple Silicon-powered updates will be introduced in the latest versions of two devices, The updated Mac Studio and Mac Pro will feature the all-new debut of the M2 Ultra chip. As per Apple's Director of Engineering Program Management, Jennifer Munn, the M2 Ultra is a ‘monster of a chip.’ The chip contains 24 core CPU and about 76-core GPU. It is 3X fastener than Intel-based previous generations.

Some Notable Features for iOS 17

Apple has revealed many features for iOS 17, including a new STandBy feature that turns iPhone’s screen into a smart home-like display. Additionally, it will also support transcription for voice messages. Along with sharing location with someone, it comes with a NameDrop feature which will allow you to share details like email and phone number with other iPhone users by tapping two devices. 

A new ‘Journal’ App that tells you when to write

Later this year, A new app known as ‘Journal’ will be an addition to iPhone applications. This application will encourage you to write your thoughts, music, location, and favorite activities. Accordingly, the application will be end-to-end encrypted.

watchOS 10, the widgets are back!

In order to improve the overall experience, Apple is adding some features such as a Watch face, a Mindfulness app, a Cycling app, health improvements, etc.

Face Time on Big Screen

You would’ve thought of this once in a while but with Apple TV, you will experience FaceTime soon. This new capability will allow you to use your iPhone as a substitute for a webcam and will incur that you are in the frame also.
