Vipraj Nigam: Delhi Capitals' Young Gun Aims for Top Two Finish
Despite a recent setback, Delhi Capitals all-rounder Vipraj Nigam remains optimistic about the team's chances of securing a top-two finish in the IPL 2025 standings. In the post-match press conference, Nigam candidly admitted that poor shot selection at crucial moments cost them the game against KKR. He highlighted the team’s initial strategy of targeting KKR's main spinners, a plan that was initially successful. However, he acknowledged that lapses in judgement regarding shot selection resulted in the loss of key wickets. “There are some decisions that we take at the last moment... because of which the game gets messed up," he explained. Despite the loss, Nigam's personal performance was commendable, scoring a quick-fire 38 off just 19 balls and contributing with the ball, taking 2 wickets for 41 runs.
